Shoulder Sleeve Insignia
On a yellow disc 2 3/16 inches (5.56 cm) in diameter a blue letter "C" 1 5/16 inches (3.33 cm) in height surmounted by a red flash from upper right to lower left all within a 5/32 inch (.40 cm) blue border.
The "C" represents Constabulary. The yellow is for Cavalry; the blue for Infantry and the red lightning flash suggests speed as well as the Artillery branch and firepower.
The shoulder sleeve insignia was approved on 27 March 1946. It was rescinded on 8 April 1958.
